I joined Buckles in 1997 and I’m based at our Peterborough office. I handle all aspects of divorce and separation, as well as doing preventative work with cohabitation contracts and prenuptial agreements. I particularly enjoy working with clients involved in farming and family run businesses, where solutions need to be found for all family members involved in the business enterprise. I also have a real interest in dealing with international clients’ cases involving cultural diversity.
I’m a trained Collaborative Lawyer and qualified and accredited family mediator, helping couples to reach agreement on how assets should be divided in a civilised way without the stress of going to Court. I use my experience to guide and assist couples to explore options that work for both partners. I also have extensive experience in Court proceedings and dealing with more complex cases and high net worth individuals.
My style is to listen and adapt my approach and advice to my client’s circumstances and wishes. I fight my client’s corner vigorously but in a non-confrontational way, which I find is more effective in achieving the best outcome.
I’m a member of Resolution (a leading family law association) and sit on their nationally recognised Standards Committee. I am a member of various local business groups and a Trustee for Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
In my spare time, I enjoy running (to maintain my sanity), adventurous travel with my sons, and saying yes to almost every social invitation that comes my way!
