Buckles Trust Corporation
Protecting your interests with expertise and experience
When choosing who to appoint as a Trustee (which includes an Executor of your Will), it is natural for you to consider those who you know and love, and who might also be the beneficiaries, to act in this role. However, those individuals may not want or be able to take on such a responsibility, especially when taking account of the need to be impartial and have the time and skills – potentially over a very long period of time – to undertake such a role.
It is for this reason that Buckles Trust Corporation exists, in order to provide you with a ready-made solution to choosing a Trustee, and so ensure that your affairs are handled with care, professionalism and security.
You can appoint Buckles Trust Corporation to act as a Trustee on its own or alongside other individuals of your choosing.
What is a Trust Corporation?
A Trust Corporation is a legal entity that acts as a Trustee instead of an individual to administer financial assets held within a Trust on behalf of others. The Trust may have been created during your lifetime or on death (that is, by your Will).
Key roles of a Trust Corporation
The core responsibilities of a Trust Corporation include:
- Acting as a Professional Trustee for Trusts and estates
- Administering Trusts in line with legal obligations and the wishes of the person who set up the Trust
- Safeguarding assets, ensuring they are managed and distributed appropriately
- Providing impartial decision-making, unaffected by personal conflicts
- Ensuring continuity in the management of Trusts without disruption from life changes (such as death, illness, or retirement of individual Trustees)
Benefits of choosing Buckles Trust Corporation
Support
Our priority is to work hand in hand with beneficiaries, families and advisers, so that each decision is made with the care, openness and efficiency our clients have come to expect
Professional expertise
Our Trust team combines decades of specialist legal, tax and Trust administration knowledge
Continuity
Having a Professional Trustee reduces the risk of administrative burdens or additional fees which can occur if appointing personal Trustees who later become incapacitated, ill or pass away
Impartiality
We are independent, therefore decisions are fair and in the best interests of the Trust.
Reduced risk
When individuals act as Trustees without professional support, they can unknowingly expose themselves to serious personal liability & be held personally responsible for any mistakes in managing the Trust, including:
- Errors in distributing funds
- Poor investment decisions
- Failure to comply with legal duties
- Conflicts of interest
By appointing Buckles Trust Corporation, you safeguard both yourself and your loved ones, leaving the complexities and liabilities in the hands of trusted legal professionals.
