About

I joined Buckles in October 2012 and qualified as a Solicitor in October 2016. I am now an Associate in our Wills, Trust and Estate Disputes team. I advise clients on a range of inheritance related disputes, including bringing and defending claims challenging the validity of a Will, executor and trustee disputes, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. My background in property litigation means that I can advise executors and beneficiaries on property related issues which commonly arise in the course of a contentious probate dispute.

I am a member of ConTrA (Contentious Trusts Association), CoPPA (Court of Protection Practitioners Association) and am currently undertaking the ACTAPS course to become a recognised specialist in this area.

I have a particular interest in disputes arising in the Court of Protection, which has jurisdiction over the property, financial affairs and personal welfare of people who lack capacity. I’m able to advise in relation to disputes concerning Deputyships and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as on issues relating to capacity. I can also assist with contentious statutory Will applications.

I have expertise in care and funding disputes with Local Authorities under the Care Act 2014, challenging financial assessments and arguments surrounding the deprivation of capital, as well as advising clients on securing NHS Continuing Healthcare Funding. I regularly assist clients at DST meetings and appeals.

Most of my spare time outside of work is occupied by my young family. I also enjoy long walks with my dog and, when time permits, travelling across different European cities.
