We are again sending a multidisciplinary team to UKREiiF in May, the year’s biggest real estate event in the UK. Attending the conference and representing Buckles, will be a team covering the full construction project process from pre-planning support to development exit.
Expected at the event are major investors, developers, and social housing providers, all seeking practical solutions to help them deliver better housing solutions, shaped by innovative and sustainable development, the source of which will be on display in Leeds from 21 – 23 May.
Almost 12,000 attendees have signed up for the three-day event, where UK cities and regions will showcase their ambitions and highlight the opportunities to work with them. Housing is not the only focus, with manufacturing, life sciences, technology, healthcare and energy development projects of equal importance, as is rejuvenating high streets.
The Buckles team attending consists of:
- Simon Kenneally – a Partner in the Commercial Property team who advises property developers on the acquisition of sites for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, whilst also advising land owners wishing to sell to developers. He specialises in advising those seeking to benefit from Airspace Development, having drafted a detailed guide on the subject.
- James Coppinger – a Partner and Head of Construction & Engineering here at Buckles, who undertakes both contentious and procurement work for developers, funders, commercial occupiers and contractors. He has extensive experience of drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts, professional team appointments and security documents, such as performance guarantees and collateral warranties. James provides construction phase dispute management advice and represents parties in dispute resolution proceedings. He is also a TECSA and UKA Adjudicator.
- James Munn – a Senior Associate in our Commercial Property team, he acts for developers nationwide dealing with the acquisition, set-up and disposal of both residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He has extensive experience in negotiating and advising on development agreements (conditional contracts, promotion, deferred consideration, overage and option agreements). He is committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of his service, providing strategic guidance to his clients whilst protecting their interests and helping to achieve their objectives.
Opportunities abound across the three-day event
Interestingly for Buckles, with offices across the country, almost half of the expected audience appear to be from potential client-based businesses, including local authorities, government, housing developers, investors, funders, occupiers, contractors and of course, end-users.
Given there are hundreds of events across more than 30 stages, with more than 700 speakers covering every topic imaginable, from delivering low carbon infrastructure at scale and pace, to building prosperity through regeneration and housing growth, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone.
Our team members will be spreading out across the event and getting the most from the event. Amongst a host of informative seminars, there will be drinks with Dilbergia, bowling with Integrated Transport Planning and a networking reception for the launch of the Coventry Investment Prospectus.
Networking will be at the forefront of visitors’ reasons for heading to Leeds, and our team is no different, already having arranged a host of meetings with current clients, referrers and prospects. But we always have room for more.
Close to our heart and to our business are the East Midlands and Lincolnshire, no surprise given we have offices in Nottingham and Peterborough. Our team will be supporting both the Nottingham Drinks Reception and the Team Lincolnshire Drinks Reception, who are partnering to deliver a number of important events in Leeds.
If you are attending UKREiiF in Leeds and would like to meet with any of our team, please get in touch and we’ll get a date in their diary.
