I started working as a paralegal in February 2025, having joined Buckles as Legal Secretary in July 2024, shortly after graduating with an LLB.
Before starting work at Buckles, I spent time during my law degree gaining valuable insight into many areas of law, volunteering for three years at the university’s pro bono law clinic, as a student advisor and later a supervisor, where we assisted with family, employment and immigration matters. Through the law clinic, I also volunteered in my final year as a McKenzie Friend via Support at Court for First Hearings and Dispute Resolution Appointments within family proceedings in the Cambridge Magistrates Court, offering support and assistance to Litigants in Person through their hearing. My work within the law clinic and in supporting clients at court confirmed my commitment to working in family law.
I assist our lawyers in a variety of private law family matters, including divorce, finances and children. I have helped see clients through various stages of their matter. I thoroughly enjoy seeing clients through their case. To be able to see and hear about the impact our work has on clients is what drives me.
I work with the intention to support clients in resolving matters and finding an amicable solution wherever possible. I aim to cut down anxiety, nervousness and alleviate any fears during the process by ensuring to keep clear, remain engaged and focused on finding and working towards the best possible solutions. I am a believer in resolving matters outside of court, wherever possible. I am also a member of Resolution which allows a focus on minimising conflict between parties, ensuring to listen to clients and their needs and wants, whilst providing an honest, constructive and non-confrontational approach towards a resolve.
I am currently a social secretary on the Cambridge Junior Lawyers Division Committee, working to connect and build a community of emerging legal professionals.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing and expressing my creative side through arts and crafts.
