I am a Senior Associate Solicitor with over twenty-four years of experience gained within national and international law firms, specialising in complex Wills, estates, trusts, Inheritance Tax and succession planning. I read law at the University of Bristol and qualified as a Solicitor in 1999. I joined the Bristol office of Buckles, when it opened in Queen Square in October 2023. As a Private Client Solicitor, it is a pleasure to work for a firm, which has such a strong focus on the provision of private client services.
I have extensive knowledge and expertise in non-contentious private client services, to include the preparation of Wills creating Flexible Life interest, Vulnerable Person and Discretionary Will Trusts; estate administration, including complex, taxable estates, excepted estates and post-death variations; the foundation and administration of Trusts, including Discretionary, Life Interest, Vulnerable Person, Bare and Compensation Protection/Personal Injury Trusts; care fee, Inheritance Tax and succession planning; together with the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
I am committed to providing my clients with a personal and bespoke service and always strive to offer pragmatic, focused advice and to explain and de-mystify difficult concepts both clearly and concisely. I work with independent financial advisers, brokers, accountants, and tax advisers to ensure that our clients are provided with a holistic and fully considered approach to their wealth management and succession planning needs.
Outside of work I enjoy travel, cooking, jazz, art and reading.
