About

I am dual qualified as an Italian Avvocato and an English Solicitor, and a resident consultant in Buckles Milan office as well manage CastaldiPartners, where I advise corporate clients on compliance, ESG and commercial matters.

Over the course of my career spanning more than 20 years, I have worked in both private practice and in-house legal roles across Italy, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, always operating in international and multicultural environments. This breadth of experience enables me to support clients on complex cross-border matters and align legal advice with business strategy.

I began my career in private practice in Italy, specialising in international commercial law, before moving to the UK where I qualified as a solicitor. I later moved in-house, holding senior legal roles within international manufacturing and consumer goods groups, where I led legal teams, developed compliance frameworks and supported the strategic direction of the business across multiple jurisdictions.

In my current role, I advise clients on a wide range of compliance, ESG and commercial issues, often with an international focus. This includes supporting businesses with the development and implementation of compliance programmes, risk monitoring systems and corporate governance frameworks, as well as advising on regulatory matters such as anti-corruption, antitrust, sanctions, anti-money laundering and data protection.

I have particular expertise in ESG and sustainability, helping clients navigate evolving regulatory requirements and mitigate risks such as greenwashing. I also support clients with the design and implementation of supplier due diligence systems, codes of ethics and broader governance structures.

Alongside my compliance work, I regularly advise on the drafting, review and negotiation of international commercial contracts, including distribution, supply, manufacturing, services, collaboration and research and development agreements. My experience also includes advising on business expansion, particularly in multi-jurisdictional and multi-channel environments, including retail and e-commerce.

Having worked extensively in-house, I understand the importance of providing practical, commercially focused advice that reflects the realities of operating across different jurisdictions. I bring a strategic and solutions-driven approach, helping clients manage legal risk while supporting their wider business objectives.

I also have significant experience in privacy and data protection matters and hold the CIPP/E certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. My work includes advising on the development and implementation of privacy compliance programmes, conducting audits, and supporting organisations in meeting their obligations across multiple regulatory frameworks.

In addition to my client work, I serve as a member and Chair of Supervisory Bodies (Organismo di Vigilanza) for companies across a range of sectors, supporting oversight of compliance programmes and corporate governance.

I am an active member of several international legal organisations, including the International Bar Association, where I serve as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Working Party within the European Regional Forum, as well as the American Bar Association and AODV (Association of Supervisory Body Members).

I firmly believe that effective legal advice must be practical, business-focused and tailored to each organisation’s specific context. Taking the time to understand how a business operates is key to delivering solutions that are both compliant and commercially effective.

I am bilingual in Italian and English and have a good working knowledge of French and Spanish.

I hold a law degree from the University of Genoa and an LLM from the University of London.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, scuba diving and exploring food and different cultures.
