Eco champions from Buckles Solicitors dug deep to help the local environment during a tree planting ceremony as part of the Forest of Peterborough initiative.
As well as supporting the campaign, run by Peterborough Environment City Trust, the staff from the law firm also helped to create a lasting memory for probate clients who have lost a loved one.
The Forest for Peterborough initiative was launched in 2010 to plant over 180,000 trees in and around the city by 2030.
Buckles Solicitors has pledged to plant a tree for every probate case, and signed up to the campaign in 2014.
Among those taking part was Paul Branch, Partner in the Dispute Resolution team. He said: “We were delighted to once again be part of this initiative, which brings with it a real sense of team spirit knowing that we were planting the trees for two excellent causes – the local environment and as a living token for those probate clients who have lost someone close.”
Supporters of the environment, Buckles has recently been accredited with the Great Green Star Award, an accolade to add to its existing Green status through the Investors in the Environment (iiE) scheme.
