Wrapped up warm with spades in hand – green-fingered Buckles staff braved the elements to help the local environment as well as creating a lasting memory for probate clients who have lost a loved one.

A team the Peterborough office took part in the tree planting ceremony at Willow Drove, Newborough – as part of the Forest for Peterborough initiative, a campaign run by Peterborough Environment City Trust.

The initiative was launched in 2010 to plant over 180,000 trees in and around the city by 2030.

Buckles Solicitors has pledged to plant a tree for every probate case, and signed up to the campaign in 2014 in a bid to help improve the local environment – but also to provide probate clients with a lasting memory of their loved ones.

Around 200 trees were planted on the day and among those taking part in the tree planting was Paul Branch, Partner in the Dispute Resolution team.

He said: “It was a bitterly cold day, but there was a real sense of team spirit and that we were planting the trees for two excellent causes – the local environment and as a living token for those probate clients who have lost someone close.”
