Plans are under way for Buckles Solicitors’ first ever Charity FootGolf tournament which will take place on 1 August at Rutland County Golf Club.
The event will be held in memory of Luke Appleby who was a lawyer at the firm’s Nottingham office until he sadly passed away in 2018 at the age of 41.
Teams including Buckles’ employees and their contacts will raise money for the Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group and The Nottinghamshire Hospice, both of whom supported Luke throughout his illness.
Angela Babb, head of Marketing at Buckles, said: “It should be a very enjoyable and rewarding day. We’re looking to assemble teams of 4-6 people to take part and raise sponsorship for two great causes.
“We hope that the event will become a regular fixture in our calendar of fundraising activities.”
