WHILE some lawyers may be up against a reputation of being boring and stuffy – nothing could be further than the truth for the team at Buckles Solicitors.

Staff’s chilli eating, cake baking, sunflower growing, head shaving, Christmas jumper wearing and table football playing fundraising antics (to name a few) have helped to boost the company’s chosen charity coffers by £5,000.

Generous staff from all areas of the business have been digging deep for Anna’s Hope – with charity co-founder Carole Hughes accepting a cheque at Buckles’ offices in Peterborough.

Carole and her husband Rob set up the charity in 2006 www.annas-hope.co.uk after their daughter Anna died from a brain tumour at the age of three.

During the last 12 months at Buckles, an extraordinary mix of fundraising activities have been arranged, completed and supported by employees – culminating in the office ‘binning challenge’ – where staff battle it out for the top slot in distance and accuracy of throwing paper into a waste bin!

Managing partner Colleen Gostick said: “Buckles Solicitors are delighted to have chosen Anna’s Hope as our charity for 2014, with this excellent cause inspiring our staff to put the fun into fundraising throughout the year.”

Buckles will continue its fundraising commitment during 2015 – with staff having nominated East Anglia Children’s Hospice (EACH) as the chosen charity for the year.
