Buckles Solicitors have had something of an art attack at their Stamford branch – thanks to the creative talents of local schoolchildren.
Property solicitor Claire Tomlinson approached Copthill Independent Day School to ask if a selection of pupil’s work could be displayed in the St Mary’s Hill office.
The legal team at Buckles was delighted when the school said yes, and the artwork – which includes pictures, paintings and models – has now taken pride of place, to be admired by staff and clients alike.
Sarah Westwood, who heads up the office, said: “The art looks amazing. I came up with the idea to try and bring the office to life, and Claire contacted the school to see if they could help us out.
“As well as Buckles being able to continue to forge links with the local community, in this case Copthill Independent Day School, the work has certainly injected some vibrancy to the office and has certainly become a talking point among visitors.”
Helen Schofield, Deputy Head at Copthill School said: “Our budding young artists were thrilled to have the opportunity to show off some of their artwork to the wider community.
“The ‘Ascot Hats’, which were made by some of our Year 6 pupils, have been really well received as have the ‘famous portraits’ by Year 2 children, including some colourful portraits of celebrities such as Jeremy Clarkson and Usain Bolt!
“Pupils at Copthill are lucky enough to be able to create these wonderful pieces in a purpose built art studio, forming part of a creative suite here at the school. Many thanks to Buckles for giving us this great platform to display the children’s work.”
