With the countdown already on for this year’s Perkins Great Eastern Run – city law firm Buckles Solicitors has confirmed they are among the event sponsors.
As runners pound the streets and pavements around Peterborough for the half marathon on Sunday 12 October, Buckles will be sponsoring the water stations throughout the route – providing participants with some much needed fluid.
The firm, which has offices in the city centre and in Stamford, was approached by GER sponsor seekers Advance Performance – and was delighted to offer its support.
Managing Partner, Colleen Gostick said: “We see this as a fantastic opportunity to support one of the region’s major sporting events – and particularly being tasked with providing the runners with much-needed water en route.
“With staff being able to benefit from our onsite gym, several members of staff have already signed up for the event – and for the Anna’s Hope Fun Run – with Anna’s Hope being our chosen charity of the year.”
Buckles staff have already raised over three thousand pounds for the East of England’s leading children’s brain tumour charity through a series of events, with the most recent being the head shave by colleagues Ruby Bodhanya and Jayne Prior.
