About

I joined Buckles in 2008, having originally been called to the Bar, and later cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Since then, I have built a strong reputation for my technical expertise, straight-talking advice, and warm, practical approach to helping clients navigate complex estate planning matters. I have typically advised clients with multi-generational family businesses, working closely with accountants and tax specialists to deliver cohesive, practical solutions that reflect each client’s wider family and commercial circumstances.

I pride myself on making complex legal issues feel simple, and my clients value my clear explanations, calm judgement, and practical, empathetic approach. They have described me as approachable, sympathetic, supportive, and professional, appreciating the way I combine sound technical advice with a reassuring and personable style.

I previously led Buckles’ Private Client department for seven years, overseeing a significant period of growth. I am now the firm’s Chief Legal Officer and have gained a senior leadership role on the Executive Board. While I continue to advise a small number of clients, my primary focus is providing high-level management and strategic leadership across the firm, supporting our Heads of Department in maintaining legal excellence, professional standards, and consistently high-quality client service across both our commercial and private client teams.

Having progressed through the firm to become a Partner and now Chief Legal Officer, I bring the perspective of a home-grown Partner with a wealth of experience in advising clients, leading a large legal team, and supporting the continued growth of the business. I have been recognised by the Legal 500 as a “Leading Partner”, having previously been named a “Next Generation Partner”, and I am known for my energy, commercial focus, emotional intelligence, and commitment to supporting excellent outcomes for our clients.

I recently updated my Will with Buckles and saw Rebekkah Cooper. I always felt fully informed at all stages in the process of producing my new Will which involved detailed planning. Rebekkah has excellent communication…
