Buckles Solicitors welcomes qualified solicitor Ben McIlroy to the firm. Ben joins the construction team headed up by partner James Coppinger from a niche London construction firm.
Ben studied at Sheffield University and the College of Law, Bloomsbury. During his training contract he assisted in national and international construction disputes. Ben now assists the construction and engineering team with procurement solutions, alternative methods of dispute resolution, adjudication, arbitration, litigations and contractual advice.
The new appointment comes hot on the heels of James Coppinger’s recent appointment to the Technology and Construction Solicitors’ Association (TeCSA) accredited adjudication panel. TeCSA is a national organisation of construction lawyers and promotes greater efficiency in the conduct of litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. The multi-disciplinary list of adjudicators is used by members and their clients to resolve disputes in the construction industry. James is one of the few professionals in the UK to be added to the existing panel following a rigorous approval process.
In addition to this, Buckles has seen further growth with the recruitment of Lauren Godfrey who has joined the firm as a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution and Housing team. Before joining the firm, Lauren studied Law at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Lauren will be assisting the dispute resolution team with all aspects of housing law.
