I studied LLB Law at the University of Sheffield and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. I qualified as a Solicitor in July 2022 and joined Buckles as a Private Client Solicitor in August 2024, having previously worked at Latham and Co and Freeths.
My role as a Private Client Solicitor is to assist clients with their estate planning (drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trusts) in addition to dealing with the administration of estates.
Facing our own mortality by making a Will is a very difficult task to undertake at any age. I pride myself on helping my clients to navigate through this challenging and often emotional time by providing clear, empathetic and supportive advice which is tailor made to their individual needs. I assist clients to plan for their future by ensuring that their assets are protected so that they can be passed down to their loved ones, whilst minimising tax liabilities. I also have experience dealing with vulnerable clients and capacity issues.
I also assist clients by making Lasting Powers of Attorney. Having this documentation in place gives clients the peace of mind to know that if a time comes when they can no longer make decisions for themselves, that their affairs will be well looked after. The loss of a loved one is often one of the most difficult personal challenges that our clients face. The estate administration process can be overwhelming, particularly whilst clients are grieving at the same time. I aim to help and support clients through the process in a caring and empathetic yet professional and pro-active manner.
I understand the importance of creating long lasting relationships. I prioritise truly getting to know clients so that I can understand their individual concerns, needs and goals to ensure that the best solution is found for them. I have been described by clients as efficient, knowledgeable and thorough whilst also being compassionate, approachable and empathetic during often very difficult times in their life.
Outside of work, I have a keen interest in charitable work and enjoy helping to raise money for my local hospice. In my spare time I also enjoy travelling to new countries, walking and going to concerts.
