I joined Buckles as a partner in the Commercial Property team in October 2016.
I began my career at Linklaters in London, undertaking training in Real Estate, Construction, Corporate and Banking (including a secondment to Credit Suisse Investment Banking Legal Group).
After qualifying in 2007, I joined the Real Estate team at Nabarro in London, where I had a particular focus on both occupier and investment acquisition and management work. More recently, I worked in-house at Virgin Active UK where I was their sole UK property counsel responsible for new clubs, disposals and the management of more than 120 properties including lease re-gears, disputes, service charge matters and rent reviews.
I have expertise in dealing with the acquisition, disposal and management of occupiers’ estates. My comprehensive understanding of the requirements of commercial occupiers in the acquisition and disposal of both trading and non-trading properties (whether as discrete transactions or as part of a business sale) – including structuring transactions around operational requirements – has been noted by clients who value technical expertise, a sensible commercial approach and an ability to manage transactions to a timely completion.
I engage in proactive management of occupier estates to ensure flexibility, cost control and to avoid disputes. I also has extensive experience in the acquisition, disposal and management of investment properties on behalf of landlords.
