I qualified as a solicitor in 2000, having previously worked as a legal executive. When I first started my career in law, I specialised in property. I later transitioned into litigation, and upon qualifying as a solicitor, I was able to combine both disciplines, working as a property litigator. I started my career in London, moving to Bristol in 2008 to join TLT and then Knights in 2019.
My experience is extremely broad covering a full range of contentious property matters. In relation to commercial property this includes advice on lease terms, forfeiture issues, rent arrears recovery, breaches of covenant, service charge disputes, 1954 Act notices, 1954 Act renewal claims to trial, and dilapidation claims.
Regarding residential property, my experience includes enfranchisement claims, service charge disputes, TOLATA claims, and all forms of possession claims, including trespass and squatter claims. Additionally, I have experience dealing with complex land rights issues, such as easements, rights of way, restrictive covenants, and boundary disputes.
Over the years, I have represented clients in all legal forums, including the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, and the Lands Chamber. I always discuss and encourage clients to consider alternative dispute resolution options. I have experience representing clients in mediation and arbitration. I always focus on a client’s objective or problem to ensure we work towards a satisfactory outcome in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
Away from the office, when I am not attending or driving my children to their various activities, I enjoy running and leisurely rounds of golf.
