Staff at Buckles Solicitors are being encouraged to step up their use of the company’s state of the art gym as part of a January feel-good fundraising initiative.
Employees have been swapping their suits and work wear for lycra and trainers during their lunch breaks and outside working hours since the gym opened in 2013, using the cardio and other fitness equipment to train for marathons, sponsored events and other personal challenges.
And during January, they can sweat it out for charity and the company is donating 50p per person, per visit to the gym.
The proceeds will be donated to Buckles’ chosen charity of the year, Peterborough based, Little Miracles – which supports families who have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.
Buckles Managing Partner, Colleen Gostick said: “January is normally the month when people decide they want to hit the gym a bit more than usual.
“The cold weather and dark mornings may put people off, but we hope that this gesture will not only encouage more staff to use the gym and for longer, but help a fantastic cause at the same time.”
