Buckles Solicitors is celebrating the start of 2016 with a key appointment to enhance its planning law offering.
Brendon Lee has taken up the position of planning solicitor, after moving to the legal firm from HB Public Law. He will be based at Buckles’ Peterborough office, but also looking after clients in the rapidly growing Nottingham office.
Brendon is dual qualified having been admitted as a solicitor of Australia in 2003 before re-locating to England in 2007, and for which he was subsequently admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales.
He has previously worked in planning and environmental law as a Lawyer for Hertfordshire County Council before joining as Senior Lawyer for HB Public Law (a shared service provider to a number of local authorities in and outside London).
He arrives with a wealth of experience in planning and environment law to his credit. In particular, he has successfully represented local authorities in varied planning and rights of way proceedings before public inquiries as well in judicial review and injunctive and declaratory relief proceedings in the high court. Additionally, he has provided CIL and planning application advice (including section 106 drafting) together with advice in relation to highway and traffic management issues, and town and village green issues (including highway agreement and licensing drafting).
Buckles is the only law firm to offer specialist planning expertise in the Greater Peterborough area.
