Buckles recently welcomed clients, referrers and colleagues to a vibrant networking event at No. 11 Cavendish Square in London, marking an exciting new chapter for our office in the city, celebrating the appointment of the new Head of the London office.
The evening was also an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to building strong relationships within the capital, as we devote more energy to the services delivered from Chancery House by our talented team.
With a fantastic turnout, the event provided time for both long-standing and new connections to engage in meaningful conversations in a relaxed setting, making for a memorable evening.
Our CEO, Duncan Jackson, opened the evening with a speech reflecting on the firm’s expansion, highlighting that London is now the firm’s second-largest office. He also introduced Partner Alex Bartrope, who joined us in 2024 from Laytons, as the new Head of the London Office.
Alex, a STEP-qualified Private Client Solicitor, expressed her enthusiasm for the role: “I’m hugely excited to be on board and part of the Buckles family and this experienced, knowledgeable team. The plans we have for the growth of the team here in London and our ambition, ensure together, we can make it even more successful than it already is.”
A key theme of the evening was the value of personal relationships in an increasingly digital world. With AI continuing to shape industries, a notable remark from the speeches reminded attendees that while AI will influence all sectors of the economy, it won’t replace the personal, human connections developed at events like this.
We extend our thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the evening’s success. Events like these not only strengthen our professional network but also reinforce the collaborative and client-focused approach that defines Buckles.
