Buckles Solicitors has made a key appointment to its growing family law department.

With over 25 years experience in family law, Helen Saggers has joined the leading law firm as an Associate, having previously worked for an established solicitors in Cambridge.

Based in Peterborough, Helen undertakes all aspects of family law, with a particular experience in high net worth cases often involving an international element and business assets.

She also has expertise in dealing with pre and post-nuptial agreements and co-habitation disputes dealing with property issues.

Helen advocates the importance of clients seeking to reach settlements, however, she is also an experienced Court advocate undertaking a large proportion of her own Court work, and understands the necessity of Court intervention when the need arises.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious and reputable law firm as Buckles, with a forward-thinking and proactive family law department.”

Helen will be part of the team that offers clients a partnership approach alongside relationship charity Relate – thought to be the first service of its kind in the country.

The service aims to ease the impact of any relationship breakdown on children and other family members by simplifying the legal process, offered through collaboration between Relate Peterborough and Buckles’ family law department.

In addition, as part of Buckles’ divorce package, it offers the client three counselling sessions with Relate whilst they are going through the legal process.

The aim of the partnership approach is to ease the burden on the Courts, in cases where people who cannot afford a solicitor represent themselves and are known as Litigants in Person.
