Leading law firm Buckles Solicitors was shortlisted for a national award – building on its recent industry successes.
The company was one of three finalists for the LawNet Law Firm of the Year Award, an accolade Buckles won in 2011.
LawNet was established in 1989 to form a collaborative, non-competing national network where independent law firms could access big firm resources and benefit from collective purchasing, shared knowledge, best practice and expertise.
Buckles Managing Partner Colleen Gostick, who won the LawNet's Managing Partner of the Year Award in 2008, said: "We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award, particularly as we haven't entered since we won the accolade in 2011.
"We have had a tremendously successful year so far and hope to be able to add this latest title to our achievements."
Colleen added: "During the last 12 months we have branched out into several new areas of law to widen our reach in the Eastern region and made a number of new appointments. The new office in Nottingham is an exciting project for us and we are looking forward to expanding in the East Midlands."
Earlier this month Buckles Solicitors were once again ranked highly in the Legal 500 – a leading guide to law firms in the UK aimed at buyers of legal services.
The guide, published annually, has placed Buckles Solicitors as the strongest in its category in Peterborough.
Buckles saw a number of its individuals receiving high praise – with five leading individuals and a total of 22 (up on last year's figure of 19) praised for their work and contribution to the industry – as well as a series of tier one ranking for the company's services.
In addition, it has recently been awarded the Investor in People Gold accreditation.
Having held the IiP accreditation for more than 15 years, the Buckles team has been working towards the top ranking, which rewards excellence at the highest level and is awarded to companies that perform significantly beyond the core Investors in People standard.
Buckles is the only law firm in Peterborough to attain the honour.
