Alejandro qualified as an Abogado (Registered European Lawyer - Spanish) with the equivalent to the Law Society in Alicante in 1994. He has been practising in the UK since 2007 and qualified as an English Solicitor in 2011, acting for British clients with interest in Spain and for Spanish Banks, companies and individuals in relation to commercial and litigation enforcement proceedings in the UK.
Alejandro holds a PhD in Spanish Tax and specialises in tax, wealth management and litigation, particularly in double taxation issues and cross border litigation cases and their enforcement, with a deep knowledge of International Private Law issues.
Alejandro has been acting for clients in complex property litigation matters and advising Spanish and British Banks in property and lending transactions. He has successfully conducted negotiation processes in which one of the parties was either a Spanish Bank or a property developer. He has advised and liaised with other UK solicitors and accountants in relation to inheritance tax and wealth preservation issues. He is currently acting for two major Spanish Banks in relation to debt recovery and insolvency matters.
Alejandro regularly speaks at an International Law Congress in Spain and has written several articles about international taxation.
