Rutland and Stamford Family Mediation Service
Going through a divorce or separation can be an isolating experience, leaving those affected feeling uncertain about the future.
To help support families facing this difficult situation, Buckles Solicitors has launched the Rutland and Stamford Family Mediation Service, based at Rock House in Stamford.
The service is delivered through an ‘umbrella’ network of independent financial advisers (IFAs), valuers, divorce coaches, therapists and counsellors, providing access to our pool of resources, experience and expertise, all available in one location.
The Rutland and Stamford Family Mediation Service is available Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, and is an entirely voluntary process. Rather than giving direct advice, mediators provide legal and financial information to help clients arrive at their own decisions.

Mediation provides a safe and open forum where you can discuss your objectives, individually and together, before coming to a resolution.
It is an entirely voluntary process. You are initially seen separately prior to a series of joint sessions aimed at reaching agreements on key issues, including Child Arrangements, distribution of property and pensions, and allocation of maintenance.
Mediation is often the most cost-effective approach to resolving disputes arising from divorce or separation. Fees are often split between you and the other party or a funding source is identified during mediation to cover the process. Generally, sessions last between one and two hours and the number required will depend on how quickly agreement can be reached.
The process must work for you. We offer a confidential, impartial and responsive service that creates the best possible opportunity to secure fair and lasting agreement and minimises the need for litigation.
Our Resolution-trained mediators are all experienced family lawyers with expert knowledge of the Family Court’s expectations.
If you feel that mediation is right for you and wish to arrange an initial meeting with a member of the team, please call 01733 888841 or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
