When the UK officially left the EU on 31 December 2020, there was still much uncertainty as to how British nationals purchasing and owning properties in France would be affected....
I joined Buckles in January 2022, having gained more than 15 years’ experience in family law, and I am based at our Stamford Office. I qualified as a solicitor in September 2004 and was promoted to the position of Senior Associate whilst at my previous firm.
I advise on all issues arising from relationship breakdown. I specialise in divorce/financial remedy proceedings, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and issues affecting children, such as child support and disputed living arrangements. I am particularly experienced in dealing with complex financial cases, including those involving businesses, farms, pensions, non-matrimonial /pre-acquired property and family trusts.
I have represented individuals from a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, armed forces and agriculture. Clients value my ability to explain complex points of law in a clear and concise matter, my attention to detail and pro-active approach to matters and my ability to secure, where possible, their long-term objectives. I always strive to reach the best possible outcome for them and their family.
I am a member of Resolution (a leading family law association), who believe in a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law matters.
During my spare time, I enjoy playing golf (I used to play for Lincolnshire) and tennis with my husband and daughter. I taught my husband to play golf.
