I joined Buckles in July 2021 as a Partner, having previously performed this role at three other firms (Moon Beever LLP (now Wedlake Bell), Payne Hicks Beach and Dawsons LLP). Prior to that, I was Head of Employment at Forsters LLP and Senior Employment Counsel at ICAP.
I practice in Employment and Partnership Law. My clients are varied and include charities, PLCs, and individuals ranging from Ultra HNW to senior executives. My case work tends to be high value or complex.
On the contentious side, my work has included restrictive covenant injunctions, bonus disputes and very high value discrimination claims, as well as day to day employment tribunal matters and contract disputes. On the non- contentious side, I give practical commercial advice to clients on a full range of employment law matters, including restructuring and redundancies. I also advise on TUPE in the context of corporate and commercial property transactions. I have acted both for and against professional partnerships and LLPs in relation to partner and member exits and disputes.
Having worked in-house, I am acutely aware of the practical and commercial advice clients need. I am approachable, knowledgeable and I avoid jargon.
As well as my legal work, I am a trustee and director of a charity in Hackney that supports well-being and recovery from mental ill-health through therapy courses and social enterprise.
Outside of work I love fishing, football, walking and the occasional run. I have two badly behaved rescue dogs and two slightly better behaved children.
