Buckles Solicitors LLP has announced key promotions across the firm with six lawyers from its Peterborough and Nottingham branches adopting new roles. Having been with Buckles for 12 years, Rebekkah...
I joined Buckles in September 2020 as a Senior Solicitor in the Construction & Engineering Team. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009, I worked in-house at a major construction business dealing with pre-contract and post-contract matters within their Rail business. I developed commercial strategies for large scale bids and, as part of a very small team, I advised the Rail Exec Board on legal and commercial matters.
As an experienced contract negotiator, I have negotiated complex deals in Japan, Singapore, USA, Spain, Denmark and the UK. I use my negotiation skills developed as an Advocate to get the best outcome for my clients. My in-house experience enables me to closely tailor the advice to the client’s needs and I can build governance structures into your business. Whether you are a sole trader or have a head count of 4,000 staff, I can support your business with legal advice, work with you towards creating negotiation strategies, and review and draft contracts for you to secure that all important deal. Should a dispute arise, I am experienced in all forms of dispute resolution, including adjudication.
Having worked in-house for sub-contractors and a major construction firm, I am able to look at bids with a focus on strategy and what matters commercially.
I was a finalist for Best Woman in Construction Law 2019 (WICE AWARDS).
I always like to learn new things and experiences. Reading a good book on a Sunday afternoon is a good place to start.
