I joined Buckles in May 2020 as a consultant in the construction and engineering team, based at the firm’s Nottingham office. Having qualified in 1975, I’ve acquired more than 45 years’ experience in private practice, including 33 years as a Partner, and 12 years working in industry for an international civil engineering organisation, primarily in the Middle East.
Specialising in contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering, I have expertise in assisting clients through adjudication, arbitration or litigation, mediation and matters of professional indemnity impacting on claims for or against construction professionals. I also deal with non-contentious work concerning building construction and engineering contracts.
I combine my legal skills with a pragmatic, common sense approach which takes into account the commercial and economic situation. I’m driven by a passion for complex construction issues and a desire to resolve them in the best interests of my clients.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, walking, and reading.
