I qualified as a Solicitor in July 2008 and joined Buckles in September 2016.
I specialise exclusively in employment law, working on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters primarily for businesses and high-level individuals, including reviewing and drafting contracts of employment, company policies and procedures. I also advise on unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, breach of contract claims, post termination restrictions, settlement agreements and Employment Tribunal processes.
Having had previous experience working in a HR role, I’ve gained a valuable understanding of the day-to-day issues faced by both employers and employees which enables me to empathise with my clients. I have also previously spent a number of years dealing solely with tribunal claims which has given me significant experience of the process involved.
I have a down-to-earth and proactive approach and focus on providing clear and concise advice.
I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and I’m based at our Peterborough office. I am also the Chair of the HR Forum of the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce.
When I’m not working, I enjoy snowboarding, going to gym, hiking through the countryside with my gorgeous dogs and, if this isn’t enough to occupy my time, I like to travel too!
