Layla Khan

I joined Buckles in August 2021 as a paralegal in our Family & Matrimonial department. I am a Law graduate from Nottingham Trent University and I am currently studying the LLM Legal Practice Course.

My undergrad dissertation assessed how effectively the law balances children’s and parental rights regarding religious upbringing, and my Masters dissertation will focus on Muslim women’s rights on the breakdown of their marriage.

My goal is to provide a high level of service to my clients and resolve their personal matters. I have previously gained experience at a family law firm which has equipped me to help clients through vulnerable and sensitive times in their life. Through this experience and my studies, I have gained a high level of exposure and knowledge in various areas of family law.

I appreciate that Family Law matters are generally distressing and challenging, and where many emotions coincide. I am someone my clients can trust and I provide an empathetic approach so their experience is as comfortable as possible. I always aim to support my clients throughout their matter and ensure they are in safe hands to achieve the best result for them.

In my free time, I enjoy make up & beauty, travelling and exploring new places and spending time with my family and friends.
