It is possible to make a Power of Attorney online, but whether you should do so is an entirely different matter. The process of making a Power of Attorney seems...
I was appointed the firm’s Chairman in April 2018, following seventeen years of award-winning* service in the role of Managing Partner. As Chairman, I’m an Ambassador for Buckles, developing and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all of the firm’s geographical locations, facilitating the effective implementation of the firm’s strategy and promoting the highest standards of integrity, probity and corporate governance.
I became the firm’s youngest partner in 1989, the first woman to hold this position in its 200-year history. Under my leadership, the development of strategic clarity and extensive investment in expansion, infrastructure, staff engagement and quality management standards combined to transform the firm, picking up many awards and accreditations along the way and becoming recognised as one of the top 500 law firms in the UK and a major player amongst legal firms in the region.
I possess a strong track record of engagement with businesses, including being a Director of Opportunity Peterborough, the UK’s first urban regeneration company now leading the city’s economic development , a long serving Judge for the Peterborough Evening Telegraph Business Awards, and for many years an active member of the local NSPCC Business Support Group, helping to raise over £1million pounds since its inception. I’m also a Director of Peterborough Positive Limited delivering the local Business Improvement District.
I’m an acclaimed commercial real estate lawyer with extensive experience of all aspects of commercial property work, with a particular specialism in Retail and Industrial Development, acting for clients with portfolios across the UK and Europe. I also act as a Consultant to Franco-Italian law firm CastaldiPartners, with offices in Paris and Milan. In the last 12 months, I’ve been personally instructed on real estate transactions with a combined value in excess of £90 million.
Despite one of my sons once telling his teacher that my hobbies were cleaning and drinking wine, in reality my spare time is largely spent with my family and friends – and I love to shop, sail and ski (in that order!).
