James Coppinger qualified in 1999 and is based in the Peterborough office. He undertakes contentious and non-contentious work and his experience includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional team appointments and collateral warranties.
James advises on a range of procurement solutions and alternative methods of dispute resolution such as mediation and expert determination. He also acts on adjudications, arbitrations and Technology & Construction Court (TCC) proceedings.
James has acted for developers (including Housing Associations), contractors, commercial occupiers, financial institutions, education establishments, Local Authorities, and regional development agencies.
For over 8 years James practiced as a specialist construction and engineering lawyer at a large international firm of solicitors. He has extensive experience of search orders and freezing injunctions, and is a court approved supervising solicitor and is also qualified to act as an adjudicator.
